Kyrgyz Republic Basic Education - Time to Read

The purpose of the Kyrgyz Republic Time to Read (TTR) project is to improve reading outcomes for students in grades one through four in targeted schools in the Kyrgyz Republic. The project will provide educators with in-service training in reading instruction; designing a developmental reading ladder tool to level books; increasing availability of age-appropriate reading materials in mother-tongue languages, specifically Kyrgyz and Russian; fostering Kyrgyz government support for reading through capacity building, and creating partnerships and innovations that support literacy outcomes.
