As education stakeholders continue to invest resources in improving literacy instruction and education quality generally, increased attention is being paid to the use of mother tongue, or familiar languages, from how children are taught to reading them to implications for education policy and planning. Recognizing the need for opportunities to dialogue about these issues, in celebration of International Mother Language Day the Global Reading Network invites you to an in-person and online learning event featuring speakers engaged in language- and literacy-related work.
